Vega 1892

Vega 1892 is a small “Mom & Pop” charity founded by Meggi and Shane. In 2001 they purchased the historic vessel Vega and since 2004 have logged almost 100,00 miles delivering donated educational and medical supplies to remote, neglected island communities in Eastern Indonesia and East Timor. A large group of friends donate the tools and supplies that they deliver each year based on lists given to them by the teachers and health workers that they assist. Recently Vega has been delivering much needed midwifery toolkits and reading glasses. Please read more about them here.
